by their men complain the most, while women in societies where they are "put in their place" try to satisfy their men instead of waking up what he could do for her today to justify his presence ?

There IS no shiny example to follow. That's the idea behind progressivism, which is so hard for many conservatives to understand: we're looking for something new, something that's never been done before; we're not trying to revert to the "good old days" of ANY society.

The women's movement has made a lot of progress in the last century, but the fact that men still outnumber women in science and engineering fields 3 to 1 shows that there's still a lot of progress to be made. NO society has made that progress yet - that's all the more reason we should try to be the first.
