Question by vicky: How do I elucidate that my hobby is writing essays?

Should I put it as writing essays or essay writing or such choice of words are not good to put in a college application?Or should I put my hobby as writing essays and proses? Please suggest a good choice of words. I like writing essays on stuff ranging frm environ to politics but I dont write short stories.

So you enjoy research of various topics, or non fiction research in the form of essays. It sounds like you'll have no problem getting into your college of choice! I also enjoy research and writing, there's no such thing as too much learning!! Knowledge is power!
