Question by RedHead: What training / certification do I need to become a dog groomer?

I'm thinking of starting my own dog grooming business. I groom my own dog, and some for friends. This is something that I really enjoy. I'm wondering what certification I should have, how much money will I need for the start up costs, etc.
I'm planning on doing this out of my finished basement. It's about 1000 sq ft of mostly open unused space right now.
Any tips from someone who's been there would be greatly appreciated.

did you try to google it? I am sure that it depends on your state and so on.... I will star this in hopes that someone else may know more then me
