Question by *NatAlie*: How Fast Do Mystery Snails/ Ghost Shrimp From Petsmart Reproduce?

I'm planning on getting 2 mystery snails from petsmart, and 4 ghost shrimp for my 3 gallon tank. I have a seperate 5 gallon tank with 3 apple snails in there. How fast do snails and shrimp reproduce? If they reproduce, could I just put some of the shrimp and snails in there too?

Well mystery snails can produce quickly (i think) but ghost shrimp probably wont reproduce at all. There are many kinds of ghost shrimp and most of their offspring go through a larval stage when they hatch. Therefore, it nearly impossible to get most ghost shrimp babies to survive.
However, there are some kinds of ghost shrimp that will reproduce quite happily in the aquarium.
