Cartooning and making comics?

I want to do cartooning, and make comics, mangas, and of the such. What I want to know is what kind of future will I have with this? Will I be able to make decent money? I am extremely devoted and passionate about comics and of the such, but if I stay a starving cartoonist, what good would it be if I enjoy what I do?

i thought the same thing im a graphic desing major in college but really doing childrends books, illistrations, cartooning and manga art in my future to
you can make lots if your succesful ( not sure of the amount right now) you can make at start 36 bucks an hour from what my teachers tell me
so yes you will make grate money if you make it
your future? you could make your own books, cartoons/comics and be rich out the wazoo
or you could work for a company or freelance making stuff for them
